Romantic

I wore this maxi dress out to dinner in LA.  It was one of those pieces that on me, looked better in person than in pictures.  But I did get a few to share!

Maxi Dress: Lovers & Friends (here) c/o / Earrings: Daisy Gem
Ring: Capwell (here) / Shoes: Zara (similar style)

To me, this whole look has somewhat of a romantic and elegant feel.  Since I'm so petite, it's a really long maxi on me, but I liked the way that it swept the ground a little when I walked.  I know you can't see my shoes, but I put on my nude heels from Zara.  I tried to get as much height as I could.  I think the best part about this dress is the criss cross detailing.  I love when something looks one way in the front and completely different in the back.  It's a great element of surprise when you walk away ;) This color is spring perfection and definitely one of my favorites at the moment.  Because of the high neckline, I decided to do a bun and these statement earrings that I can't seem to get enough of.

Have a lovely day!

J'Adorable

Happy hump day!  I'm feeling extra girly in today's post :)

Shirt: Peter Som x Kohls (here) c/o / Skirt: Zara (similar)
Loafers: Mandee (similar) / Clutch: N/A / Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe (here)

They say third times a charm and that's what happened with this outfit.  I initially wanted to pair it with my white pants but I didn't love the outcome.  Then, I styled it with my dark grey skinnies but I hated it even more haha Finally I decided to tuck it into this skater skirt and the rest of the look just came together.  How "j'adorable" is this top from the Peter Som x Kohls collection?  I wanted to keep the whole "cutesy" theme going so decided to ditch the heels for these comfy studded flats.  I've had them for over a year and I don't think that I ever posted them on the blog before.  Wearing flats is actually very freeing.  I instantly just want to prance around.  I know I'm weird.  But I'm determined to expand my flats collection this season!  I also like the studs & stripes combo here.  It adds a subtle edginess.  I did a little bit of matching too, with my clutch, lipstick and the heart in the shirt.  <3

Hope you have an amazing day!

A Spring Staple

Happy Tuesday dolls!  I'm taking it back to Cali again with today's outfit post.

Vest: Gentle Fawn (here) c/o / Top: The Limited / Jeans: Dittos
Shoes: Zara (also love) / Bag: Philip Lim x Target / Bracelet (here) & Ring (here): Capwell

Just like blazers, I think every woman should have a vest in her wardrobe for the spring/summer.  I love their versatility and I'm all for pieces that can be dressed up and down for the day or night.  It's all about making the most out of the items in our closets.  I got this one right before my trip and honestly had no idea what I wanted to wear it with.  Since we can only pack so much in our luggage, it can start to become a little challenging when creating outfits.  Thankfully I was staying with a friend and borrowed this top from her.  I really wanted to play up that color from the print in the vest.  I decided to keep it casual and chic by styling it with my dark skinnies.  I've already lost count of how many times I have worn these.

I've been on such a floral kick lately, but I can't seem to help it.  My next post has floral print too. Sorry in advance lol
Happy Earth Day!

Abstract Floral + Neon

I hope that you all had a great Easter weekend!  This is what I wore for the special occasion.

Top: Lovers & Friends (here) c/o / Skort: SheInside (here) c/o
Shoes: Forever21 (similar) / Earrings: Daisy Gem (here)
Midi Rings: Prima Donna (here)

I think that this might be one of my favorite combinations.  I got this blouse when I was in LA visiting the Lovers & Friends showroom.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I absolutely love the abstract floral print and blue/neon combo.  I really wanted to shoot in this while I was out in Cali, but by this point I was running out of things to wear and I didn't have anything to pair this with.  When I got home, this "skort" was waiting for me.  It worked out perfectly because I think these two pieces were made for each other!  I didn't get photos of the back, but this skirt is actually shorts too :)

White roses symbolize purity, innocence, spirituality and sympathy.  I thought it was a good color choice for Easter.   I have to say that it felt great to shoot with my mom again.  I know I was only away for two weeks, but taking pictures with her has really formed a stronger bond between us.  I really cherish it.  On special days, like Easter, I'm reminded of how thankful I am to still have her in my life.  Spending time with my family means everything to me.

Happy Monday <3

The Maxi Is Back

Happy Friday loves!
So excited to finally welcome back maxi skirts and dresses into my wardrobe.

Skirt: Forever21 (here) / Top: Furor Moda / Shoes: Zara (also love
Bag: Charlotte Russe (here) / Necklace: Capwell

I got this skirt during my trip and loved the black & white print.  Plus, it was on sale for only $12.  Since I extended my stay, I wasn't prepared enough and had to do a little shopping out there.  Any excuse to shop is a good excuse, right?! haha It's been awhile since I wore a maxi.  I love them so much because they're perfect for the day or the night.  They're such an easy piece to wear.  I decided to pair this one with my old faithful crop top.  I wore it so much last summer and will probably do the same this year too.  I rented a car this day for a couple of meetings and then met up with some friends for dinner.  I'm happy I wore this instead of pants because I was comfy all day!

I have a few more looks from Cali then it's back to the NJ scenery.  A huge thank you to my friend Christine for taking all of my pics during my stay.  She was recently certified as a makeup artist so once her site launches, I'll make sure to share it with you all.

Cheers to the weekend! <3

Wrap Around

I'm back in Jersey but the outfits from Cali are still coming!  I definitely have summer on my mind right now. I wore this to a fun event out there.  You might have seen a few photos from my instagram :)

Skirt: Furor Moda (here) c/o / Top: LUSH via Nordstrom Rack (also love)
Shoes: Zara (similar) / Bag: olivia + joy (here)

This is a wrap around skirt and I haven't worn one in such a long time.  I tied the bow in the back and then pinned it to the skirt so that it would stay tied.  Otherwise, if the bow came undone then that could have left me in a really awkward and embarrassing situation haha It's so cute though I love it.  And red is such a fun color to style.  I found this top a few days before my trip.  I almost didn't get it but I'm happy that I did because it worked perfectly with this skirt.  It's actually a crop top but it was long enough on me that I could tuck it inside.  I love the floral print because it has a vintage feel.

As you can see in my recent posts, these shoes really came in handy out there.   It's a good thing I didn't pack more than I did because my suitcase was way overweight!  My dad used to always tell me to back "bare essentials only" and I think of that every time I travel.  I always end up packing up half my closet though lol

Enjoy the day loves!
